Site Security
Contacting Directly
When using enquiry forms within our pages there is no real need to push the
viewer through a secure server. Most of our forms merely asks for your
personal details such as email, name and the dates you want us to check
availability for.
All personal details are deleted completely from our files within 30 days of
initial contact.
We will NEVER divulge any private details, OR sell
our mailing list, to a third party
Making Reservation
When you elect to make a reservation you will go through our secure server
or the secure server of the affiliation scheme we use. Your browser should
have a padlock icon at the bottom in the status bar at the time you are
asked for any credit card details.
We cannot insert this padlock icon.
This appears only for pages that are pushed through a secure server and have
acquired a current SECURE CERTIFICATE from one of a number of sources that
the browser recognizes. Our secure certificates are verified by THAWTE
SERVER CA. If the certificate was invalid you would receive a warning
message saying that the site you are entering has not renewed their security
certificates.
Our secure certificate can be validated by clicking on the padlock icon when
you have entered the secure web page.
Your reservation request is printed off and
kept on our file. The only persons who are allowed access to this file are
staff of phoenix.is. They are deleted 6 months after the date of your
booking.
Paying by Credit Card
We do not keep any personal information, including credit card details,
stored anywhere accessible through a modem, including the internet.
Phoenix.is accepts Visa, MasterCard and
Eurocard.
Please note: All pages where you are asked for a credit card number
should be secure.
This can be established by a CLOSED padlock in the bottom
left or right of your browser window.
